Important School Details:
Location: Hebrew School takes place at Ferris Home.
Dates and Times: School hours are Sundays from 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon, beginning Sunday, September 18, 2016. Please refer to the school calendar for class schedule.
Ages: Our program is for boys and girls 4-13.
Scholarships: At Chabad we believe every Jewish child deserves a Jewish education. If you are in need of a scholarship, please contact our office at (510) 540-5824 or email office@chabadberkeley.org.
Communication: We look forward to discussing your child’s progress with you. Please contact Miriam Ferris at (510) 684-5292, to discuss any issues or concerns.
Attendance: Consistent attendance is one of the keys to a successful school year. If your child is not able to attend class for any reason, please notify us in advance.
Boys are encouraged to attend wearing a kippa. If you do not have a kippa, the Chabad Hebrew School can provide one.
Books and Supplies: All books, workbooks and school supplies will be provided by Chabad Hebrew School to be used throughout the school year and does not include out-of-school functions, such as Shabbat dinners and Holiday celebrations.
Tzedakah: Students are encouraged to bring a coin for Tzedakah (charity) each Sunday.
Newsletter: Each week, you will receive an email newsletter with an update, pictures, and important school information. Please take note of the email, enjoy it, and be sure to stay up-to-date on school announcements.
Snack: During Hebrew School there will be a 10 minute break during which the children will receive a snack provided by the school.
